Dear Reader,

last time I told you about three designs, I've made in the last 6 months. Today is the day for the second one. May I introduce.... B l u e b e r r y a u t u m n

It's a cowl! No, fingerless mittens! No: BOTH! ;-)

I've designed this pair way back in autumn. I wandered through the woods around my new home, seeing the blueberry leaves in so many colours between orange and purple. And a few days later I visited a town not far away from home, looked into the window of the local yarn store there and bought this yarn, looking totally like blueberry autumnleaves, using two differend colours in one piece. It's called Lana Grossa Ragazza Twist and the colours I used are 007 (purple-blue-ish) and 006 (orange).

You can wear the cowl in three different ways, either the garterstitch-cable or the checked pattern or both simultaneously outside. It's super warm because of the stranded colourwork of the checked section and super-duper warm wearing it in one of the folded ways. The matching fingerless mittens are made in garterstitch including four cables from bottom to top (as the cowl does!).
Here are some pictures for you featuring the three different ways to wear the cowl:

Grab your needles and start knitting! This pattern contains written instructions for both garments.

Stay warm!
